OpenLayers Workshop Online

FOSS4G 2010Yesterday at FOSS4G 2010, Tim Schaub presented a 3.5 hour workshop on how to use and abuse OpenLayers. We have put the material online for your learning pleasure!

If you are at FOSS4G and want to learn more about OpenLayers, we are having “OpenLayers Q&A Time” on Wednesday from 13:00-15:00 and Thursday from 10:00-12:00. Come talk to Tim and Andreas Hocevar, our OpenLayers experts at the OpenGeo booth on the exhibition floor.

I’m giving the workshop material a try. It seems the suggested URL for the hosted geoserver is coming up 404: http://publicus.opengeo.org/foss4g_workshop/
This is as documented in http://workshops.opengeo.org/openlayers-intro/setup.html

Sorry, the workshop that is up there is last year’s. I have on my to do list right now to snap out the version Tim gave to the web site. Same for the GeoServer workshop. Just need to carve out 15 minutes of time in this busy busy place!

  3. Tim Schaub Says:

Until the website is updated with this year’s workshop, you can grab the workshop source from subversion: http://svn.opengeo.org/workshops/projects/openlayers/foss4g_2010/

Time carved, the workshop at http://workshops.opengeo.org/openlayers-intro now reflects Tim’s latest creation.
